Take some time and get to know the historical center of Schwyz. You will be surprised about the sights you discover during the walk through the village. Get an informational booklet at the tourist office and follow the pannels.
You will be surprised by the rich history, culture and tradition of Schwyz. Enjoy the sights and the valley with the surrounding mountains. Eleven plaques with illustrations and short texts convey manifold information on important squares, streets, parks, public buildings, manor houses, monasteries, churches and chapels. You will learn about festivals and traditions that exist in Schwyz since decades. If you wish you can visit several churches, a chapel or an exhibition. Right in the town centre three museums welcome you for a visit. Take your time – your stay will be rewarded! We book guided tours for groups.
