The village square counts to one of the most beautiful squares of Switzerland. It is surrounded by the church St. Martin and the town hall and several manor houses. Besides the historic centre of Schwyz also the manor houses, built in the 17th and 18th centuries, with their own chapels and curtain walls characterize the town.
